Protect 5000 New Miles of Wild and Scenic Rivers

Join us to protect wild rivers and public lands. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act in 2018, we are teaming up with partners to ask Congress to protect 5,000 new miles of Wild and Scenic Rivers and one million acres of riverside lands. And, we will make sure wild rivers flowing through public lands remain unharmed by development and pollution. We can’t do it without you. Add your voice today.

Please help us Voice UP about our public lands

Tell Congress to Vote NO on H.R. 3990

Bishop’s bill has moved out of committee and could come to a vote at any time. Tell Congress to keep our public lands protected and oppose H.R. 3990.

The Antiquities Act of 1906 was created to establish that archeological sites on public lands are important public resources. It obligates federal agencies that manage the public lands to preserve for present and future generations the historic, scientific, commemorative, and cultural values of the archaeological and historic sites and structures on these lands.

H.R. 3990 "National Monument Creation and Protection Act" attempts to dismantle the Antiquities Act of 1906. This bill would allow the president to shrink existing national monuments without consulting Congress. The bill would also limit the size of new monuments and stop the creation of new marine monuments. This bill is one of our biggest threats to our public lands, and should never become law. Sign below to urge your representatives to oppose this bill to protect our public lands for present and future generations to come.

    Stand With Bears Ears!

Our President has made the decision to shrink the protections on Bears Ears National Monument and Grand Escalante by nearly 80%. This region includes not only incredibly beautiful natural geography, but also several sacred sites of our ancient native people.

This incredible swath of public lands spans from Indian Creek, just southwest of Moab along the Colorado River to the banks of the San Juan along the border of Arizona. It includes the Valley of the Gods and Red House Cliffs and protects hundreds of miles of riparian desert environment. To get an idea of the treasure that could be lost, you can see the beautiful cliffs along the San Juan in the cover photo for this page. As rafters who have experienced the beauty and intimacy of these canyons, we are outraged. Please please help us! Sign the petition today and donate whatever you can to help the cause.

Tell Congress to defend the EPA!

The Environmental Protection Agency is a hugely important governing body that protects not only our wild lands, but also our wild rivers from exploitation by major oil and natural gas companies.  We must make our voices heard that we support the EPA and do not commend Congress's intentions to eliminate it. Follow the link below to send a letter to Congress and help us defend our wild places!
